A New Computer

I was just sitting in my room a week ago, thinking to myself that I really wanted a temporary computer. Then I realized that I had a monitor, two keyboards, and three mice sitting in my room. The only thing actually stading between me and a working computer was the box itself. The following night, I finally got around to opening up a tub Jena had used to give me her old 8-bit Nintendo and some games. As if ordained by Fate itself, there was a computer in it.

So I now have a computer set up and working. And it's as functional as I'm going to need for the immediate future (ie, until I have enough money together to buy a new computer). I think my favorite thing about Linux is the fact that I can put together a fully functional system on six year-old hardware.

Good, and Not so Good

My room is clean. Mostly. That's good. I still don't have a job. That's not so good. I took a GRE practice exam this morning (thanks, Nora!). I might actually prepare for the real GRE. That's good. My computer is, get this, still dead. That's not so good. Blogger doesn't work with lynx. That's not so good, either.
